PARISA
fell x maziel. of the bay.

Oh, her mother was going to be upset once she knew Parisa had swam through the ocean from Tinuvel to Crossing Isle while the weather was already turbulent, but she couldn’t blame her. For seasons now Parisa had complained often about how much her mother’s fear held her back from swimming to the other islands. Maziel had softened to the idea only because she would rather support her children instead of holding them back from what they wanted. Eventually she had agreed that when the sea seemed calm, Parisa could go to one of the other islands with another sibling or even one of the other mares if they decided to go elsewhere. Maziel demanded she have someone with her.

Parisa thought that sounded sort of… dumb. She was well grown by now, old enough to have left to another herd if she was so inclined. Why did she have to be swam across the ocean by a babysitter just because her mother had such bad luck with the water?

Instead she came up with the idea to swim for Crossing Isle by herself, a few days later, and decided that once she’d had her fun and returned to the Bay, she would proudly show her mother there’d been nothing to worry about. After hounding anyone in the Bay who would tell her about the islands outside Tinuvel and how to properly tell her directions, Parisa had a vague idea of exactly where she was going. She knew she swam south and landed on the shoreline of the Peak - she even glanced toward its impressive height and considered climbing it just to see the view from up there - but decided that’d be a trip for another day.

Making her way down the shoreline of Crossing Isle, she made her way from the rolling foothills covered in the scents of many mares and into the first of three gathering areas, the Falls. The tumble of the water was a mighty roar, and though the Bay had its fair share of pretty waterfalls further inland, Parisa had to admit as she drew closer to the namesake for this area, they were beautiful in a different way. The mist was cold as it drifted off the falling water and collected on her coat, making it look darker than it was. She shook herself out with a laugh and then tossed her head and turned from the water, trotting off and looking with bright eyes to find a new face to bother.

Why come all this way if she wasn’t actually going to talk to someone?

The brownish stallion was the first horse she happened to spot. Though he was built thicker than she was, they only had a few inches of height difference between them. Regardless, Parisa didn’t spend much time assessing him or whether he looked safe to approach, she only blew a heavy breath of air at him and surged forward, eagerly approaching to greet him. She practically pushed her muzzle into his space, against his, quite rudely taking her greeting breaths rather quickly. The eagerness practically radiated off of her.

Parisa pulled her chin back to her chest and grinned at him. “Hey! Who’re you? Is this your first time here? I’m Parisa, this is my first time away from home and I am so stoked!” She talked boisterously. Loudly. It was very clear there wasn’t much in life this girl did not do at one-hundred percent.
