Hedera Helix
mare | 15.3hhs | black snowflake | vitiligo defect | of the dunes

Standing where her hooves had ended forward movement, Hedera listened to the sounds around her. It was darker now and the life of the Dunes had grown silent, but she did not let that change her mind. She wanted to explore, her star crusted face scanning the distance. The white upon her frame almost glistened under the nightly moon, but she did not let her mind stick to such queenly thoughts. She was a lowly mare, one that just lived here with healing knowledge. She held no power and could be ran out of here at a whim by anyone else here and she knew that.

Tilting her head, the black and white mare set her gaze upon another with a faint smile curling her lips. Her head slowly dipped down to give a gesture of hello and manners before her ears perked and she listened to the other horse. “Greetings miss Vana.” She rumbled, her tone soft even though her chest vibrated from her chest like a canines. She held a deep voice for a mare, but it only made her smile at herself when she heard her own voice. She would always be her own funniest equine on all the islands and she was certainly okay with it.

“I am a mare of Helios.” Came her reply, her head lifting as she looked out over the Dunes. She was lucky to live here, but there was something missing and her heart ached to fill that need she would never speak. “Have you come to explore with me?” Her eyes were kind, but they spoke of something she would never voice. She was lonely, her daughter now old enough to go off and do what she wanted. Hedera would be lonely for a while, but come spring she would be giving a child to Helios and it made her question… What was her true life purpose?
