Finally, the world came crashing down and Halcyon came back from wherever she was mentally. Roamer, of course, had not realized the mare was off in her own mind and flinched back, her ears tucking to her head as she flicked her long tail against her hocks. She had not meant to cause harm, but obviously she had as her soft eyes scanned the other horse. Roamer was kind hearted, but she did tend to say the wrong things even though it was not on purpose. She tried her best all the time, but that had led to more failures than wins. She was growing, but she had to start growing away from Toland, Voyager, and the rest in order to become who she was supposed to be.
“I… I am sorry.” She slowly said, her voice taking on a shake as she looked away. “I didn't mean to make things worse.” She whispered, her voice barely audible as she let her body shift and lean against a set of trees. Her legs were aching, but the mare did not let herself lay down as she rested. Her dark blue gaze locked on the distant water that the body had vanished into, wondering just what Fritjof would do away from here. Voyager had claimed Halcyon and been busy ever since with taking care of her and making sure the forest was protected.
Shaking herself out of her own thoughts, the mare looked over at Halcyon and gave her a wobbly smile. “I was talking about me dad.” Her ears flickered for a moment, moving on her head and listening to the forest much like her father had taught her. She could hear some birds and chattering of other animals, but nothing else really caught her interest as her focus went fully back to the mare. “I… I said maybe talk to him… He isn't really the best with others after having me and my uh… disability.” Roamer knew it was her fault, that her sire was always so busy. Voyager had tried to tell her over and over again that it was not her fault, but she knew. With her legs giving out because of her ankles, she knew she was a walking accident.
