I'm Sure Tire wear is a concern. But heats become meaningless. That only leaves us with The NASCAR Modified approach. Time trials - no heats.
They could run more heats with fewer cars and less laps.
I do not like the re-draw for feature line-up. I agree with you on that one.
Only 2 top wing shows - I must take them in. Not as fond of the tail wing events and I wonder what the field will be like for shows that are not part of the challenge series. Classic will have a good turnout but regular shows with lower payout might suffer.
