Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Serenity did not consider what she had been doing resting. The other mares were asleep, mostly, and yet she hovered between light sleep and staring off into the dark. She hadn't wanted to come here, originally, when Marceline had found her crying in the Commons. She hadn't wanted to go anywhere. A part of her had wanted her family to chase her down, to beg for her to come home. But they never did. It didn't matter anymore, she had new family. While her initial feelings about Marceline had been mostly negative, she had come to look up to the speckled warrior of a mare. Even with Marceline's injured leg she persevered, it was a strength that Serenity idolized. So when the call rang through the Peak, Serenity was eager to answer. Eager to prove herself. Eager to be useful.

Thrusting out a leg, Serenity pulled herself to her feet, shaking off any dirt and debris that clung to her spotted coat. It did not take long for her to catch the General's scent and follow her. Her ears swiveled and her nostrils flared, a constant vigilance. The path took her from the Peak, her first time leaving since her arrival. The change to turf beneath her pale hooves was a strange sensation. Too soft. She had become as rigid and rough as the land she inhabited.

Marceline, Lucifer, and another stallion finally come into view and Serenity extends her stride, though she does not break from a walk. She regards both the men with a lethal smile as she closes in on them. "Hey cuties, where was my invitation?" Serenity was long-legged and lithe, and she certainly leaned into her beauty in her mannerisms and the way she held herself. It was a mask, a disguise, to hide the harshness behind her words. To hide the dagger behind her back until she needed to strike. "It's just no fun in the Peak all alone," Serenity moved closer to the group. "I could use the company of some big strong men." She doesn't want them. But she also doesn't want them loose upon the world. And it would be stupid for Serenity to not at least attempt a two for one special.
