GUIDELINES
common sense, really
i. the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
ii. anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
iii. adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
iv. the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
v. the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors
Voiceless songs are far worse than voiced love.

Anger bubbled under the surface of Eira's skin like a witches brew. Her green eyes locked on the distance with her ears pinning tight to her neck and pole. All she could feel was rage as her blood thrummed through her veins and around her body. She had stuck to the Prairie because it was supposed to be a place of peace and she had grown fond of Castillon, but suddenly the dual colored mare felt nothing other than rage and disappointment with the stallion of her home.

Hearing him come up behind her and then speak, the mare did not move a single muscle. Her eyes had closed by then with tears hiding behind her lids as she pulled in a faintly wobbling breath. With anger came tears for Eira and she hated the fact she looked more broken when she was angry than when she was sad. It made no real sense with the world they lived in, but the pale mare finally turned her head to look at Castillon with a slow shake of her head.

“You won't come home without her.” Eira finally stated, her voice stronger than anything else she had at the moment. She scanned him before turning away with her body faintly trembling. “You've chosen one over the rest Castillon. That's the reason in which they keep coming back.” The lagoon was a sick place from what she had seen thus far and Castillon was feeding right into it. As her words filled the air though, Eira looked off in the direction of Salem.

Shaking her head finally, Eira gave a sad laugh. Her eyes were finally letting the tears fall as she looked down at her hooves and then back towards Castillon with a tight lipped smile. “Do whatever you think is right Castillon, just remember not all of us are willing to wait for you and the one you chose over the rest.” Eira had never been close to the herd members, but she had been here for this stallion. Now that he was leaving with another mare to the darkest of swamps, she had no chains here any longer. “I hope this decision is the right one for the long run.” She finally ended before looking back out towards the place that held a touch more of her heart than this one.
