If anything, she's an undiscovered element
Either born in hell or heaven-sent
The western winds had lead her here. She had traversed many a land in her travels. A wayward soul with no real prospects and no yearning. Invidia was restless. She had been under the thrall of a stallion who she had been betrothed to for the entirety of her life. Such was the way of forming and maintaining alliances in her homelands. It was her duty, to be the pillar of peace between allies and carry her betrothed’s legacy. Her name, in time, would fade into starless skies.
That would simply not do.
Invidia, while raised her entire life to be compliant and demure, carried an ever-flickering ember of desires - to simply do as she pleases and forge her own path. Compliance melded into complacence, and the demure mask crumbled into impatience and resentment. Her ability to maintain an air of grace and reel herself in was all that kept her “in line.” the facade had to remain despite the ever-brewing schemes that she concocted relentlessly in her idle hours.
The mare has arrived on the eastern shores in the early morning hours. The skies were a gentle pastel as the stars faded into their own slumber. The thrill of having made it elsewhere, far from her homelands, drove her nimbly inland. Her stance is upright, alert and eager. Umber-tipped ears swivel as her eyes dance across the wilderness. She enters the golden fields where horses are scattered throughout the territory - idle chatter leading her there. She comes to a halt near a stream, yearning for fresh water after enduring the bulk of her travel at sea. She dips her pink muzzle into the refreshing waters, enjoying the cool and crisp chill as she drank.
