Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Aura

I don't think I could begin to explain the way I felt as Cas drew close and embraced me. Something within him warmed and comforted the husk I'd become in recent years. He brought me to life. He protected me. Could he ever understand what a blessing he was? The next-in-line for the Prairie, he was the hope and light for so many, and yet he was here with me.

Castillon stilled, his touch lingering upon my skin. I let my own muzzle drift in a soft caress across his cheek or neck, whatever I could reach without moving away from him. My ears twisted toward him as the golden stallion murmured into the quiet of our hiding place, and I listened. 'And as much as I understand him… I want to punish Garmr for toying with you like this,' he paused. "I want to hurt him, Aura.'

I did not pale before his confession. I did not waver in my resolve to support this stallion as strongly as he had me. If I was really honest with myself.. I would admit that part of me did want Castillon to punish Garmr. Though I did wonder, at what point would that be seen as stooping to the other man's level? I breathed against his skin, my eyes falling closed as I took a moment to consider his words.

"Your father is wise, Castillon," I granted. "But not every stallion may take the same path as their predecessors." My words faltered only a moment before I forced myself to go on. "I cannot tell you whether or not you should act against Garmr. I can only vow to follow you down whatever path you follow."
