Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

I’ve never swam in the ocean before…I don’t think I ever will until I absolutely have to.

And the day came where she had to. Where she was forced to.

If only the travel from the Bay to the Lagoon had only been the thing she had been forced through.

The young, leggy cream mare showed her injuries gruesomely, the bites over her pelt that’s broken skin, the blood dried and caked dark around them, in streaks down others. They were numerous, some overlapping others, too hard to count how many exactly… Her pale hair was tousled and tangled, haphazardly thrown on either side of her neck, with a chunk torn out near her withers. When she walked, she limped, face pulled tight with pain - so she chose not to when she no longer had to. As soon as she was left alone in the Lagoon, her new prison, Charmeine collapsed down where she stood, exhausted to her very bones and with pain like she had never known radiating through her body.

Her greatest fear had always been how much of a coward she was, and this entire ordeal had only further cemented everything.

Away from her family for the very first time in her life, away from her best friend Kho, and with her body radiating with the pain of what she’d been forced to endure, Charmeine might’ve thought she would have just sobbed and sobbed until she finally slept, but all she did was wordlessly lay her chin on the ground and stare, dead-eyed, off into the distance.
