Octavius stallion | 18.0hhs | Lost son of nowhere
So much to say, so little time. Shifting his weight at the final question from Asmodeus, Octavius sets himself steady, his frame taking on a more serious look as his eyes look below Asmodeus’s own, not wanting to accidentally start a problem. “There… is a scent on the border.” Licking his lips, Octavius tries to find a way to say this without sounding like a complete loser. He had never once thought this day would come, but it is here now and it's time to go forth with more of his past.
“When I left the Peak and came here, I ran into a black draft on the crossing isle.” Flicking his tail, Octavius felt his ears pin as he snorted at the ground. “The meeting was not a good one and I felt pain that day worse than leaving my sister behind.” Octavius spoke that, but he no longer held hope for his pale sister. It had been too long since he had left her behind and he no longer knew if Axelle was still in the Peak or something else. “I got his name and his scent is ingrained in my mind. The aura he held was not a good one either, but I never thought I would have to worry like I do now for the safety of home or for the dangers that this horse could bring.”
Lifting his eyes, Octavius looked right at Asmodeus then, his legs faintly trembling as the next words left his mouth, hoping Asmodeus would understand he was not a liar. “His name is Lucifer, sir. I have scented him before and I scent him now in the Dunes. Where that black wraith moves, strife fills the land. There had been a rumor before where he had killed a child that I heard from a passing mare. I am not sure if he would do it again or if he would strike here, but he is where my most prominent gut feeling lies.” Tossing his head and letting out a sigh, Octavius shook out his body before looking towards the Dunes. “If he is here sir… I would go and talk with the Dunes leader. Lucifer does not stop once he has his mind on something.” Turning back, the draft dipped his head. “He is the reason I keep training and learning what I can. My best efforts to learn more though would be to travel and explore the crossing and other islands. If I knew where he currently lived unless it's still the Lagoon, I would point you there to take care of the… problem.”
Octavius hated this. He never once wanted to be a messenger, but it was something he knew needed to be done.
