An onlooker might think these two creatures were awkward, maybe they were, but Requiem sensed some of her worry. The stallion was already backwards and searching for a new herd member with no idea what to say, but coming upon a mare that may match his nerves might be a perfect set up. There was a chance this slow start to a conversation might turn into something beautiful later.
He watches her unsure movement until finally she gives him a call back. A smile tugs at the corner of his mouth, but he couldn't allow himself to get too excited just yet. He still had to get closer to have a converstation and she could easily dart away. He wouldn't stop her, but he wishes she would stay at least to learn a few things about her. He takes a slow step towards her, but watches her reaction closely before he takes any more steps.
He continues to step slowly, trying to keep a friendly smile on his pale lips. He tries to still keep a comfortable distance away, but close enough to hear each other talk. "Hello." He speaks slowly and clearly. "My name is Requiem of the Bay." He wishes to ask her name, but he fears that might be too much prying. Maybe all it would take to loosen her up was his own introduction. He watches her with alert ears to catch anything she might say. His full focus was on the bigger boned mare.
