She wasn't the best member of the Inlet to run into. Especially alone. Yasmina would rather chase someone off before asking questions. It annoyed her uncle sometimes, but she knew he didn't say much because he was thankful to have her on his side. Yasmina had done her best in youth protecting her mother and her siblings. Failed a few times, but now that she was getting older the time for failure was over. At least she thought so.
Golden eyes narrow her vision onto the unknown painted stallion. She only saw the intruder. Of course the stallion's response was not a typical reaction to her approach. His stance was u provoking and confident. Not like the usual submission or nerves she had encountered before. His scent was of a distant land much like the mare who had once showed up here years prior.
A friendly voice reaches her ears causing them to raise slightly. Of course she put then right back down soon after. A few friendly words and standing his ground were not going to change her demeanor so quickly. The Inlet has been attacked before by seemingly friendly faces. Even the lover of her sister had attempted to take her once. The stallion gives his name and explains where he was from. She wonders if the Forest had also been home to that mare who smelled similarly.
That mare has met her aggression with her own. Explaining her right to be there and her intentions. Yasmina had not liked her. This stallion was doing what he could to show her he was no harm, but that he was also here on business. She wasn't sure how to proceed next but wait for Nicodemus to arrive. For now the mare just tries to keep him from moving any further inland with an intense stare.
