Garmr was getting tired of chasing after Leif’s things.


At first the Boss had contemplated not bothering. He had seen Rutger go after the mare and foal, and surely in this rain and with the babe being so young, they wouldn’t be able to get away from the stallion. But then the thought of the Peak entered Garmr’s mind and he frowned before stalking after the others. No sense of them killing off another one of his brothers. This one was at least a bit more useful than the last.


When the Lagoon Boss catches up to them, it wasn’t a Peak mare that Rutger was facing, but an unfamiliar silver-haired beast. Only the muddled scent of Paradise is recognizable amongst the smell of wet earth and rain. This must be Annubis, where Khyber had taken his companion’s child, and where Lucifer had chosen to align his haphazard loyalties.


“A flower? Hardly.” Garmr spoke up as he come to stand next to Rutger, though his green eyes bore into Annubis. “A trinket is nothing more than property. Property that can be traded, if given the right offer.” A smirk cut across the Boss’ lips then, knowing it would surely piss off the mare, but he hardly cared. He just had to remind himself that damaged goods didn’t fetch as high of a price.


“Annubis.” Garmr said with confidence, although he had never said it aloud before, much less met this stallion. “First a brother, and then a daughter, and now a trinket and a second daughter. If I didn’t know better, I would think you preferred Lagoon things. Though I dare not think you might want to enjoy the Lagoon itself.” He chuckled, though his eyes were hardly full of humor. “What might you give me for them?” the Lagoon Boss offered, as there were a lot more important things to him than a wayward mare and her brat.
