They both had lost sight of him and Nico felt responsible. He thought racing with Tino would hold his interest enough to keep with him to try to beat his pace. He didn't know the colt would take the opportunity to run off. He sighs and follows Raini's gaze to the trail of hoof prints in the dirt.

He follows after Raini who began following the trail after commenting about her son. He didn't say anything as she begins talking again. Guilt had already settled in his belly and then she mentions his father. The ways she stops talking tells him something had happened with Tino's father. "I'm sorry." He sighs. "I didnt meant to cause you more trouble. I had thought taking you here would be a good thing. You could rest and I planned to distract Tino for you." Plan failed.

"It is hard for children to understand unless they experience it themselves. Come," He picks up his pace. "Let's find him before he has the chance to find trouble first."
