The frigid sea embraced him with each powerful stroke as he swam from Salem towards the island crossing. Finally, his hooves found purchase on the ocean floor. Brine churned around his feathered legs as he waded onto the firm sand. He shook the clinging seawater from his chimera pelt, his icy eyes surveying the familiar coastline that stretched to either side. The salty air carried the unmistakable scent of horses, a constant reminder that this isle served as a crossroads for travelers of all kinds.

He inhaled deeply, his whiskered lips parting as he stepped from the sands and towards the hilltop. Beyond lay a vast expanse of grassland, dotted with horses whose journeys remained a mystery. His gaze drifted from one pair to the next, before locking onto a solitary mare. His dark-tipped ears twitched beneath a thick forelock. A subtle smile played on his lips as he turned his attention towards her. He adjusted his posture and strolled casually across the short distance separating them.

Clearing his throat, he offered a nod and a friendly grin as he settled nearby—close enough for easy conversation, yet maintaining a respectful distance. Her sweet scent drifted to him, and he inhaled it with a deep sigh. "Well," he began, tilting his head, "I would ask you what brought you here, but I suspect your answer would be...companionship?"

He continued after a breath, "It's hardly a place for someone to be lonely.. Or to be left alone. There are plenty of places on the Isles where one could disappear for that."
