KAI
mare | 18.0hhs | dunalino roan tobiano | of nowhere

Laying there in the rain with her head on the ground, the draft mare let out a shaky breath before her eyes closed entirely. Her muscled form was more like a limp slab of meat instead of a living and breathing creature. Her body just was, waiting for the storm to pass or her life to stop. It was just a waiting game, one that gained more voices than just the howling wind and forced her to rouse from where she was so close to sweet sleep. She could taste dryness in her mouth as her right eye blinked open and slowly, almost lazily, took focus upon that of a black stallion with four white legs. He looked as if he had been made to be white, but the bucket he had been placed in was not deep enough.

Rolling her tongue against the roof of her mouth, Kai looked him over before an ear tucked tighter to her head. Her eyes narrowed at his stupid question, her body already working on rising as she grunted, not wanting to be laying any longer in the face of someone so dense. Her slow rise had been halted though, her head turning to look over her shoulder as a petite mare came up with a quick wit and a sharp tongue. Rolling the words through her mind Kai just snorted before her body fully rose, her thick legs trembling as her red smeared face now focused entirely upon the mare. This was better odds than whatever the stallion was doing, which did not bode well for him depending on what he wanted from pulling out stupid questions and a good guy nature.

“I am far from fine, but thanks for the useless question.” She snapped, her body shaking as rain pelted around them. Turning her blue gaze from mare to stallion, she narrowed it upon his body. Her head was low in hold, but she did not cower at the face of him. Instead, she sucked in a breath before rolling her shoulders and neck. The battering ram of things she had been thrown into by the sea had caused bruises and pain. It would be better if she just rested, but right now was most certainly not the time for dilly dallying.

Shifting then, Yaga slowly made a choice before her hooves moved over to the mare. “I also don’t need help… obviously.” She snorted, but she did not do anything but move closer to the desert built mare. “I am Kai.” She finally muttered her name, her head hanging lower and lower as pain became evident to all of her senses. “It is not safe for anyone here.” Now she was stating the obvious, but her blue gaze locked upon the two toned mare. “We need shelter.” She whispered then, noting that the tree she had been under was not large enough for a group of two, let alone three.
