There was more things he wanted to say to her. Sorry for taking her so violently or ripping her from her child. It wasn't like him in so many way. In yet, he has taken someone before. Twice actually and it had caused a rift in Rhoxane's life. She said it wasn't his fault, but it was hard to believe anything but. A new herd leader just building a new relationship who someone he might have loved. They would have a child and then a stranger just takes her away. When she returns he is no longer there. Their child grows up fatherless and he is to blame.

But this situation was different. This mare was without her daughter and Raini was without their son. This was about Raini.

He could not let the growing guilt overpower his word. He had promised to keep her safe. Maybe not out loud, but he had made a silent promise the day she told him about Tino's real father. Still, he could not send this mare back to torture so he watches her closely as she answers his question. The fact that her body sintantly responds to the question tells him something. It wasn't aggression, annoyance, or sadness that he saw. She answers rather quickly and the answer surprises him.

So this silver buckskin wasn't exactly the monster he saw. Though the jury was still out for how he felt about it. All of that would depend on what happens next. The dark faced mare murmurs something that stings his ego. Ouch. Nico prides himself on being seen as good. Saving, growing a happy family, but was he really? He had jealousy and made poor decisions at times. Maybe he wasn't any better than the next stallion. He doesn't speak only watches her face as she continues to speak. Watches as her cheeks flush.

It was clear she cared about about him. Even said he treated her daughter like his own. Much like he did for Raini. He wonders if Raini was saying the same things about him right now. His eyes fall from her face unable to watch any longer. "Then I will get you back to him." He says softly. Blue eyes wonder inland towards the place his herd stays. "I will take you back in the morning and offer my trade." Eventually his eyes travel back to her dark face. "I know it is hard to be away from your daughter. I know my Raini must feel the same." Not only did she leave Tino behind, but she was taken knowing she may be carrying their own child together.

"Between you and me, if your stallion refuses to give Raini back I still plan on letting you go. I am not one for keeping captives, but know that I will not rest until Raini is home. Home with our unborn child." His eyes narrow. It wasn't like she had anything to do with this, but he had forced her to take part. If his plan did fail he wasn't exactly sure where to turn next. He may need Parvati's help on this one.
