Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Painted Demon, Come Play With Me

Painted Demon stepped into the unfamiliar lands. It was exactly like he’d expected when someone had told him about the lagoon. He curled his upper lip because yer, he was less than impressed. Surely a young underdog colt would be glad to get out of this place, with its swamp waters, crowded canopy trees that blocked out the sun. He liked gloom and doom but this was too extreme for him, he did prefer some light and less swampy bog.

Standing on a small bit of dry land, if you could call it that, he allowed his eyes to scan every area he could, searching for one who may fit his purpose. Someone who would go unnoticed when they left, someone who was young, impressionable, possibly not happy here and most of all someone who was not physically stronger than himself.

Eyes landed on a young painted male before passing over him, continuing with his perusal of the inhabitants, but his eyes kept drifting back to the painted male before he’d continuing with his scan. When his eyes drifted back to the individual for the third time he knew he’d found his mark.

He studied him for a few minutes. He was a similar build to himself, or at least he probably would be, at the moment he was that typical lanky youngster. He couldn’t be more than two, which would be a good age to mould him into the image he desired. Bay and white with white tipped ears, he tilted his head as he studied him further, he looked… slightly familiar he couldn’t quite work it out but, that wasn’t really important right now.

Stalking forward he stopped by the youngster, eyes cold and calculating but not necessarily mean. What do they call you young one? He said, his tone holding a ‘don’t give me shit’ edge to it. And do you enjoy living here? Or would you prefer to be somewhere else?
