2016 was totally open. Hillary got way more votes. The only reason why Bernie was in it was the caucuses, which are less democratic and more susceptible to funny business. 2020 was wide open. The only way that Bernie was going to win was if a bunch of moderates stayed in and split off Biden�s vote. Once the field narrowed (as it always does), Bernie was done. He was toxic with Black voters, which is fatal in a Democratic primary.

This is poppycock. The DNC didn't do shit in 2020. A few candidates banded together to stop Sanders's momentum, but there were no DNC leaders puppeteering the entire thing, because the DNC (and the RNC) are toothless organizations that have no power in and of themselves.
