We can add this.
For people who 'run numbers' with box bets, there will be some events with heavy faves and some that are more balanced.
These folks may not realize this, but the chances are that their system is getting killed in the events with those heavy faves.
If I'm right, then anyone with a DB of prices could do a study of tri-boxes for a given number combo, both with heavy faves, and without them.
Dogs, horses, jai-alai, whatever.
But I could be wrong. Alternatively, this could be something that everyone in the parimutuel world already knows.
What would you guess - no meaningful diff or a significant impact?
