Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

A note (for my sake): This thread is timed for the days immediately following Saphris' arrival in the Peak.

She couldn't believe she was here. Blue eyes scanned over the treetops along the slope below. Her mother had always intended to come here, or so Saphris had grown up hearing and believing. Until Emerson had been won a few seasons ago, the older paint had never seen the slopes that belonged to the Sisters. Now they were both finally here. Saphris, of course, had immediately agreed to join their ranks. In her young heart though, she was still unsure of her conviction to the mountain's mission after being so rattled by recent events.

The blue dun had not revealed to her mother exactly what had happened in the early weeks of fall between her and Thranduil. She was afraid of disappointing Emerson, who had always spoken so ill of the swamp men. Her own view of the stallions was muddled by her confused emotions. She still hadn't figured it out yet. Now mid-fall, Saphris was descending the slopes and exploring every crook and hollow she came across. The black tail lashed out, scattering a small host off gnats that hovered nearby. White-laced hips cocked to one side as Saphris looked down either side of a fork in her path.
