Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

A note (for my sake): This thread is timed for sometime in late Fall.

Saphris hesitated. Her mismatched ears pricked forward as the maiden peered carefully around her. Out on the open banks of the creek, there was nothing to obscure her but the pygmy rushes and cat-tails roughly fifteen feet to her right. Her white-kissed skin prickled, as if she really could feel eyes tracing over her markings. Though safely within the Peak's border by a good mile or two, Saphris was a little unnerved.

Her blue eyes scanned the trees on her left. After finding nothing immediately visible on its edges, the young mare darted into them and broke through the verge with little thought for the thorns that might kiss over her blue fur. The breath that came to her was erratic as Saphris stole further into the woods. It took several heartbeats before the female centered herself with various true statements. She was a Peak mare now. She did not have to run on her own lands. This place was hers to control and protect. She could face whoever it was.

Saphris stilled herself, suspending her forward movement with a deep breath. Black and silver strands of her mane whispered over the curve of the mare's throat, jarred by the abrupt stop. She simply breathed, ears pricked for the sounds of steps in the wood around her. "I know you're there," she stated with a remarkably even tone. It paired rather well with the occasional nervous tremor in her limbs. "You might as well come out."
