There was no reason for the mare to thank him. Most that knew of him or had been around him would say he was doing this for his own selfish gain. The rest that had only heard of him would snort, roll their eyes, and probably call anyone that said he could be this way a liar. Lucifer was one that fed on his own anger, that much many would attest too and call correct. For some reason however, the demonic stallion just flicked one ear her way and bobbed his head faintly, giving her a half assed nod and a grunt of air as his “you're welcome.”
As the storm began to die down, Lucifer just kept his body steady. His crimson eyes closed on their own, allowing him to rest just as she was, but not as deeply. Hearing her deeper breathing to show she was sleeping, Lucifer counted the seconds in between each breath. Peace and calm coated his system, allowing his tired frame to relax with her heat against his frame even with the distance selerating them. Soaked through to the skin, but half warm. It was a different feeling, but he didn't step away from the oddness of it.
When she jerked awake, he blinked open his eyes to look at her. A half tired state took over his face, but when she started to speak, he came a bit more alive and gave her his full attention. Licking his soaking lips, the stallion nodded faintly again before he let out a deep breath. “You needed your rest, Teagan.” Odd was his action, but even worse were his words. Raising his head from where it had dropped down, Lucifer looked her body over for a moment. “My name is Lucifer.” He didn't give her anything else then, except that of his curiosity. “You smell of the ocean and not the islands. Do you know where you are?”
