Watch the video. He did not "cut right in front of him" 2 seconds before he attempted to make the catch. Again, watch the video. The receiving player had time to see the ball. Maybe he just didn't want to drop another hard serve. He had already dropped one. It's a hard serve for sure, but you can't just not try for the ball and hope to get interference. I agree that you can't have players cutting in front of other players as they try to make a catch, but IMHO, Cabrera didn't "cut" in front of him. He was well in front and even moving towards the middle of the court as the very hard serve was getting back there. NO CALL, correct call. Replies:
