Hearing her name slip through the darkness of the Forest, the draft lead stopped her forward movements. Knowing the voice though, she let out one last shaky breath before rubbing her cheeks on her legs, hiding the dampness with a fake itch. She didn't wish to be found crying, so she did her best to hide the salty tears from her face before she turned around, letting her bright eyes land upon the painted frame of Hasan.
Looking at the black and white stallion, Yaga waited for him to speak. She could tell something had his tongue locked, but no words left her own lips, once again offering patience like she has done a select few. She wished to meet more of the Forest, but for now everything was still and peaceful, even if that was a rare thing on some other territories most of the time.
As he began to speak, the mare gave him her full attention. Curiosity peaked its little head in the back of her mind, but she shoved it away when it tried to make her speak over him. It wasn't polite to do that she knew, so she held her tongue until he finished speaking. “A war over female leads?” She finally asked, allowing that curiosity that tickled her mind to escape a touch. “Why would there be a battle over what genders lead?”
