lonely (Nicodemus)

For the past two years, she had been travelling from place to place. She had never really gotten over her partner's death and the blame for it. "It was an accident." She tried telling them. But they refused to believe her, thinking she had planned this and banished her. The mare was confused and sad when she ended up on the Islands. She isn't able to remember much. She met a stallion whose name she has forgotten. Is he still alive?? Is he dead? Whatever happened to him? Questions rattled her brain.
The mare felt somewhat alone these days. It became quite challenging to have a friend or join a herd wherever she was. When she was in a foreign land, she had a close friend who would accompany her. But the friend chickened out and refused to come with her when they learned Olayla announced she's heading back to the islands. It became heartbreaking for Olyla to hear this. She was alone again, and she didn't like it. The mare started to think that she was cursed, and it annoyed her. Cursed to a life of loneliness. The thought of having a family freaked her out a little. What would happen to them? Would they die or would they leave her? She certainly hoped that would not occur to her. And now, she was back in the Islands. She had no plans; she didn't care if a stallion dragged her away to his herd. Nobody is looking for her.
She walked around aimlessly. The scents she smelled were too far, and she didn't feel like harassing strangers. But there was a particular scent that kept bothering. That scent..it's familiar. She walked towards it and came to a complete stop. Her eyes saw a horse not too far, and she tilted her head. Who is this? Her brain became foggy. "Excuse me," she called out. "I didn't mean to bother you, but I picked up your scent and I followed. It smelled familiar. Have we met"?

(OOC: trying to get back into her, a bit rusty)
