Yeah, I've been feeling everything
From hate to love, From love to lust From lust to truth
If there was one thing Lucà hadn’t paid much attention to since coming ashore here, it was that he hadn’t seen many other foals or yearlings around. Maybe they were all tucked away in their herds and not allowed to explore the open areas? He mused quietly to himself, unsure what to think of anything in this place. He missed his mother most of all, but a small part missed frolicking with his siblings. A sour look crosses his face as he remembers them, and how they kicked them out of the herd in a way that caused his mothers death–in advertantly so they’d say.
So deep in his thoughts of the past, his mind was not aware of his surroundings and was blissfully ignorant to the noises around him. Thus the boy crashing through the brush headed straight for him was not noticed until the dark. body collided with his own. The impact of the other’s chest against his sent him sprawling backwards, his long legs flying in the air, tangling against the others. A surprised whinny escaped as he threw himself away from the other, his flight instinct kicking in telling him he needed to move, to get away to keep himself safe.
It didn’t register until he’d rolled his body the opposite way, untangling himself from the other’s limbs that the body that’d collided with his wasn’t much larger than his own. His gaze whipped around as he stared at the colt as he spoke. Lucà shook his head as if clearing his mind. “I think I’m alright. I wasn’t paying attention to my surroundings either.”
The words were no sooner out of his mouth before he scrambled upright, his eyes going wide at the sight of another horse nearby. He stumbled backwards a few steps, uncertain what to do now. He was not the best at socializing. That was painfully obvious.
