Her voice calling his name sends endorphins through his body. His shocked look settles the closer Mizuki gets. Replaced with a smile, his lips extend out with a flick of his tail. The filly was real and Mizuki was real. They were really okay...and healthy. Mizuki reaches him with an embrace that he returns. She apologizes for having him wait to which Nico shakes his head. "I am just glad you both are safe." He whispers back.
Of course he would have rather her show up much sooner so that he wouldn't have spend all that time stressing. He wouldn't tell her that. Especially knowing what she went through with her last child. Mizuki deserved that special time alone with her new born. It was a healing process and since they were now he back he hopes that healing was done.
The grey mare turns her attention to their child and beckons her over. Ameyuki. His says the name over and over in his head as he watches the little one. The dark filly says hello and reaches up to greet him. "Hello my beautiful daughter." He replies as his muzzle reaches down for her. He memorized her scent just before raising his head back up.
"Welcome to the family Ameyuki de Nicodemus." Not all of his children would keep the traditional name introductions, but he kept doing them just in case they were curious. "You have a sister named Talei that was born around the same time as you. I hope the two of you can become friends." He smiles. It would be nice if his daughter became close.
