It was getting dark, but the night has never stopped him before. Sometimes he thrives in the dark. Some of his best ideas came from the shadows. It interested the stallion just what may come of this trip when the last one had been a bust. He had dragged a new mare home, but she had slipped away during the fall. Pity she didn't give it more time, but most spicy mares were impulsive.
The spotted stallion strides easily over the land with his coat still damp from the sea. He had given it some time to dry, but waiting too long on the beach would mean missing opportunities. He assumes he wasn't the only herd leader gathering bodies for winter. This is made true when he makes out the shape of the large draft in the distance. Upon further investigation he finds it is Lucifer that stands near a spotted mare and her child.
Obviously her child by the way the colt stays close to the mare. Not a spotted foal to match her beauty. Pity. War laughs to himself before picking up a trot over to them. He just catches the end of Lucifer's sentence, the mare's name. "Mareceline is a beautiful name for such a pretty mare." He smirks as the words slide off his tongue. War then turns his attention to Lucifer. "I assume you are taking this one home with you then?" He asks the stallion to gauge just what was going on before he arrived.
He assumes this mare has come into the Commons unclaimed and that Lucifer has taken the opportunity. Did he want to cross the black beast just yet? His icy gaze turns back to the spotted mare. Those spots were very tempting considering the possibly of more spotted foals. I guess he could pass up on this one just for the sake of his own opportunity with Lucifer.
