Lagoon trinket, Lagoon soldier, Lagoon General, Lagoon Boss, Ridge leader, Atlantis ruler; they were all titles Tyr had once carried. Now his title was homeless and apparently needed a babysitter. The once fearsome stallion was followed around by his loyal son whom Tyr appreciated but was not needed. At least, perhaps not anymore. His grief was still heavy, but he felt like he could breathe now, even though she wasn’t breathing. He could eat without being told, even though she had eaten her last meal. See the beautiful night skies and color dawns, even though she had seen her last without him.


Giving a little more force than was necessary, Tyr pawed at the snow to expose the grass below. Instead, he churned up the damp earth below, effectively ruining his sought-after meal. The pale stallion gave a grunted huff of annoyance, lifting his head to glance around. Blue-green eyes expected to see Rutger nearby, but oddly he wasn’t. Off to get a drink perhaps? Either way, it left Tyr alone for the first time in a long time.


Deciding to enjoy the time to himself, he left behind his destroyed meal and began to walk in no particular direction. Without anywhere to be at any specific time, it left Tyr with little guidance to what he should do.


Old battle wounds made the large stallion stiff at first. But the longer he walked, the warmer his muscles became, and they loosened up along with his joints. Tyr took his time, his gaze drifting to his surroundings as if he were simply sightseeing. Until he began to notice landmarks that were obviously familiar, which made him pause in realization, and he looked around at his surroundings. The Commons. He should have never come here.
