Deceitful and dishonest are the best of us;

While the honest and true are the worst of us.

Time had Sloan way down. It was as if her life was in a stand still. Pregnant, stuck on what to do, and fighting rage that burned hotter than the sun in her breast, a red roan mare found herself drifting in the Lagoon. Her long tail snapped out to attach itself to her hips before slowly falling away and out of her fur. Bright emerald eyes blink slowly before they harden, watching the days roll by. She was growing tired of it, hence why she had a plan.

Moving from her home and to a distant island, Canine moved across Salem with her hooves pushing through sand. She was curious about the black demon that had attacked the Lagoon. It made her wander, knowing she would have to return to her birth place to see if her father kept her in the Lagoon or if she went to the Peak. But for now, the white dusted crimson mare moved until her world imploded. A scent tested her nostrils and forced her head to turn swiftly, locking her gaze upon her grandfather.

As her eyes locked onto the red dun, Canine felt the first slither of her toxic mind. Her heart beast grew a little restless, but soon enough it mellowed just enough for her to breathe. Everything in her mind slowed down and evened out, which made her next actions almost seamless.

Rising just enough to lunge forward, Canine went from a walk into a jerking run. Her crimson ears tucked tight to her head as she moved over the sands. It was like she was a bullet, but her path went off course as another ran into her path and slammed into her. Jerking her head, Canine snapped her teeth at whatever she could grab as her frame twisted to take the fight head on. Muscles flexed under her skin as she tried to keep herself steady. It was difficult, but soon enough the crimson based maiden wasn't being pushed.

Staring at the new mare once both of them were still, Canine huffed out a breath before her head turned hearing her grandfather's voice. Clenching her teeth, Canine headed that direction to get a better look. The pale woman beside her pushed closer, keeping her body at just the right angle and pace to stop any chance Canine took at going after Nahawi again. Blinking her emerald eyes, Canine snorted as she heard hooves racing over the sand.
