Though if he were honest with himself, it would have been nice. “It's called musk. And real mares dig it." He quipped back to Tefnut's insult, but her laugh and dropped seriousness was proof enough to her joking. Not that it mattered, she seemed quickly infatuated with the dark mare once more. Apparently forgetting that he existed.


What surprised him most was the black mare's apparent change in personality. The way she moved to stand beside Tefnut, and how she now reached to touch her. Did she hope to make him jealous? Truly jealous? She had no qualms about showing the challenge in her eyes, or the smile that curled her dark lips. He could see why Tefnut was so infatuated.


“Maybe I am." He replied to her taunt. Caine remained where he stood despite their position changes, and how he so badly wanted to prowl around them. To boldly look them both over with heated eyes and make their skin crawl with the uncomfortable feeling mingled with the warmth of appreciation.


“If I were to stay in the Lagoon, how would you be able to flaunt you're victory?" Caine replied smoothly to her continued taunts. “And if you truly are that spicy." He let his green gaze travel down along her face, the lines of her neck and chest, the length of her sturdy legs to her hooves. Then up the same contours of Tefnet's body until his gaze bore into her own. “Perhaps I won't be disappointed. Just this once."
