Nobody cares abt me, knows me, or works as hard as you do trying to destroy my overconfidence about my ability to see events in terms of trends.
And the second I see you pasting psychobabble, I just click to any other new posts. Again you embarrass yourself for pasting your superficiality in here. You dont' call me out because you dont' know me, never worked with me. That you keep calling me a rip and read announcer shows you have know idea what field reporters do. We find people to interview, then write what we've learned and working with photographers and editors, produce 90 second to 2 minute mini-moves seen by not less that a hundred thousand people per report. Basically a third of the adult households we share with the other 2 stations.
Yes we know about doxxing people and having negative attitudes about the establishment. We were paid well to think of things and people to pick on daily. You should know as as long as I did it while you thhought I was ripping and reading, it most likely occurred to me what news directors expected of us. My view of my radio news days was simply preparatory to my work in TV news. I don't apologize for remembering some of the things in learned about society all those years. Do I know about the business part of radio like you do?
Ask me if I cared since I always got paid on payday. Really bud, TV news is a whole different culture than radio news. Bob Mead did rip and read. I didn't learn about TV til I got into it at KAKE and KSN. I had my photo-mentors teach me how to write to the video they shot. Hardly ripping and reading because field reeporters originate their stories, not rip summaries by AP and UPI of yesterdays newspaper stories. You would have liked it and know far than you know about your community and its industries. It was great fun but that was a long time ago and you're still talking about that.
Actually I use your posts in here as a peg to broaden discussions to what one or two in TV here might find useful in their reporting. Today I write to an interactive readership that replies back and that feedback and debate is even MORE fun!
