Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

I will always be disappointed

When she looks at him, the trickle of the tear down her cheek glitters in the moonlight, and he wants to go to her. To stand close and offer her comfort, as if it is something that nearness might heal. But just as he takes a step towards her, Titan speaks what he already knows but had forgotten when he had laid eyes upon her. The reality of their situation, their ranks, their homes; it all comes crashing back down on him. It keeps him from walking the rest of the distance. Keeping his hooves firmly planted and his words choking in his throat.

Get out.

Caine’s head whips around and his green eyes fix on the overo that intruded upon them. Ears pinned, neck bowed; she clearly meant to look the part of a threat. Fire floods the stallion, and he can feel the muscles in his body tense as his white ears fold back. It was a reaction that came instinctual, before thought followed. The stranger wasn’t intruding, he was. Despite not wanting to be caught, it had clearly been inevitable.

The fire is quickly washed from his system, and his body visibly relaxes. His ears splay to the side from their pinned position before slightly tilting back. “I got what I come for. No need for a fight.” he said to the stranger, before his green eyes drift to Titan one last time. He knows if they see each other again, it would most likely be in battle. Something wicked twisted in his chest that he couldn’t explain, but it was painful and for a moment he could not hide it. But Caine blinked it away within seconds and the stallion turned, heading back down the mountain the way he’d come.
