Inlet

The harsh winter had passed and his mother had survived another year end. He could see the big change in her especially with the toll of this past winter. Their time was getting shorter so he vows to spend more time with her. He had to soak in all the knowledge she had left and make sure her last year's were comfortable.

On top of that, he had Sara to find and he knew Devi was out there searching for Vadim. He had faith Devi would find her missing daughter, but he wanted to help. He would, too, just as soon as Rhoxane gave birth. He didn't feel right leaving the Inlet unguarded while she was in her last week's of pregnancy.

Speaking of unguarded...the scent of strangers in his home sent him on high alert. Their scent had reached him only seconds after Raini's desperate calls out over the sea. He wasn't sure if they were related, but he wasn't about to leave his mate defenseless if these unknown scents decided to cause trouble. Besides, they smelled awfully like the Lagoon who were known for just that.

"Get away from them!" He yells as he dashes across the beach towards the intruder. Nico lowers his head to charge full force into the tall bay stallion. He could already see Raini was distressed and his son upset.
