Lucifer is quick to answer her call, as she knew he would be. Pale, slender legs carry her forward to meet him halfway as he crests a nearby dune, her tail flagged high and her head held proudly. 'What a glorious sight,' he says by way of greeting, pulling the corner of Mazikeen's mouth into a smirk.
"Flattery will get you everywhere," she quips in response, putting on an exaggerated show of batting her eyelashes at him. Her smirk blooms into a full smile at the nickname he calls her - wildfire. It is a far better nickname than the one Warwick has bestowed upon her. As flattering as he might claim it to be, it rankles at her every time he croons it in her ear. It makes her sound like a shrill, shrewd nag. Though she knows that is not Warwick's intention, she has been unable to shake the association.
Wildfire, though… it embodies her well, her spirit, her drive, her scorching temper. Mazikeen bares each of her blunt teeth at him in a disarming smile, her eyes alight with amusement. "Warwick sent me to Salem on a mission, but stopping off to see you sounded far more fun." Better than scoping out the Badlands by a mile. She would do it, of course, because she had given Warwick her word, but who could blame a girl for wanting to have a little fun first?
Mazikeen strides towards him with ease, closing the distance until there is but a few feet of space between them. This close she can smell the tang of sweat that slicks his onyx coat, can see the way his crimson eyes seem to glow beneath the blazing sun. She has to tilt her head skyward to look into his face, a far cry from the stout form of Warwick who was nearly eye-to-eye with her. Lucifer makes her feel small but not in an intimidating way. No, it is far more exhilarating than anything, to be standing face-to-face with such a beast and know they are on equal footing.
"It's been a long journey, and I could sure use a drink. Take me to the water, and while you're at it you can tell me all about what's been happening on Salem since last we met." She flashes another grin at him, her pale tail flicking idly against the curve of her hip as she waits for him to lead her on.
