Teagan had not been back in the Dunes very long before the scent of labor trailed the air after her. Lucifer found himself gravitating towards the scent, wanting to check in on his monochrome woman. He had not been around any births of his children, which caused this birth to pull at him more. He wanted to go closer, to watch over Teagan and the babe, but when he realized they were nowhere he could get without looking like a stalker, he refrained. It ate at him, not being able to watch and to care as he wanted. However, he held himself back until he heard the first sound of their child.

Lifting his large hooves, Lucifer slowly walked to where Teagan and the foal were. Cresting a small rise and looking down, he searched until he noticed the duo tucked away from everyone and everything. Scanning the mare with smart eyes, Lucifer tracked the way she seemed to be doing alright. He slowly let his crimson gaze trail over their child. As his eyes locked on the copy and pasted form of Teagan, something bubbled in his gut. It wasn't sickly nor toxic. It was this warmth, something that tugged at his cold and dead heart. He could not place a name to what it was, but the warmth drew a soft sound from his lips.

Taking his time, Lucifer continued down until he was close, but not endangering her space. He knew mares could be extremely protective of their young and that even translated to the stallions that they had foals from. Reaching his head forward, there was nothing dangerous about his eyes or the perked direction of his ears. His top lip slowly stretched out, wiggling at the air before another deep whicker left his lips. He was asking to step closer, to inspect them. It was hard on him to stay back, but with the demon in his mind quiet and the world locked in on who was before him, Lucifer managed to do it.
