Add some fire;

Tefnut of the Bay
And the gasoline of my soul will come alive.

Muscles rippled under sun bleached red fur. The power in their movements became clear as in a slow motion wide panel change. Hooves drummed over the solid ground of the Bay. Their steady tempo created a song that fueled the phoenix in the red duns heart. If the mare were to listen close enough, she could almost swear she heard the bird crying a happy tune as she took her way up the beach.

Kicking out her hind legs, the crimson regent named Tefnut laughed. The wind tore around her, dragging its chilled talons through her fur. Knots were building in her mane and tail, creating a mess she would never fully get rid of. The little “reigns” of a fairy as humans tended to call them, flapped in the wind due to the speed and pace of her strides. Her blue eyes danced with humor with every step.

Up above Tefnut, a hawk screamed a cry that had her eyes searching for a moment. The brown bird had her full attention as she followed it. Racing through a territory that she could now call hers, Tefnut was the epitome of carefree and happy. There was joy to be had in her new home. She could protect herself while growing. She could build a herd without Lucifer having some form of say on who showed up and who didn't. No longer was she under someone else's thumb.

That was why, when she could make out Rethe’s figure, she started to slow down. Rocks and dust blew by in her wake. The clank of stone hitting stone signaled her arrival way before her happy call did. Sliding to a stop near Rethe, Tefnut couldn't help the rear her body gave or the second happy, but breathy sound she made. As her hooves touched back to the earth again, the mare looked half crazed as her mane stood up in places. “Rethe! I hope you like our new home?” Breathing heavily, the mare's giddiness could almost be considered infectious as her hooves pranced.
