Rules � The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders. � Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission. � All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say. � Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met. � You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

To all visitors and residents of the Peak: An excess of nutrients washed into the freshwater and marine systems has resulted in an algal bloom affecting both the ocean and still water to be found inland. The freshwater is undrinkable and until the red tide abates, it is not advised for any to swim through the affected areas, as the algae is toxic and may prove harmful if ingested or come into contact with. Once the algae dies off, the water will be safe again, though there will be signs of dead aquatic life dotted along the shorelines of the affected areas.

The threat will pass (and the event will be closed) in one week's time on February 8th. Event credit to Jessy!

RULES
1) In order to gain experience from this event, reply to this post and have your character interact with the event in some way. Only the first 5 eligible horses to respond win experience.
2) There are 5 possible experience points to win: one for each character. Only one character per player may win a point, so if a player has more than one eligible character respond, they must specify which of their characters they wish to receive experience.
3) Only mature characters (age 2+) may win experience, and only if they have not already met their maximum experience quota for the season.
4) No post comings are allowed until after all possible experience has been earned, and each post must be at least 200 words to qualify.
5) All eligible characters must respond to this post within a week in order to earn experience.

Other characters may join in even if they cannot earn any experience, and the thread may continue even after a week, or spill out into other threads for plot purposes.

This post will be updated as each experience point is given out. Points will be tallied under 'additional' on the battle tracker and added to the battle experience board as soon as possible.
