Boss's Decree

For every brother you bring into the Lagoon, you may have a trinket of your own. I will not touch, barter, trade, or do anything with them. For every foal you create that lives here in the lagoon, you must win a battle or bring in a new brother.

If neither of these criteria are met, come them turning two and remaining in the lagoon, they are mine to do with as I see fit.

The Offspring

Briseis (Carthage x Clio)
Flynnrir (Garmr x Druna)
Gersemi (Garmr x Dior)
Gothic (Garmr x Dior)
Phaethon (Acid x Sabah)
Sadie (Abraxas x Mercy)

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Mercy is for the weak.

Mercy was in her normal spot, her foal tucked away in a small nook only accessible from the opening she was standing in. She might be young in years but she hadn’t survived on her own without a bit of wit and intelligence. Most of the horses around had confused her fear of the lagoon with the fear of the inhabitants. Only during birth had she feared them, and that had only been due to the nature of being unable to protect herself during that time, now however they one more mistook her fear for fear of them. She hadn’t corrected them of course, why spoil the image they had crafted of her, scared little mare afraid of the big bad wolf, it served a purpose than most had oddly left her alone. Well, except the idiot who kept trying to get back in her good graces. His latest attempt at that may well prove to earn him some of that, freedom from the lagoon was the price he owed to have anything to do with her or Sadie, if he managed to get that granted then maybe she would consider forgiveness.

At least now he seem to have come to the conclusion that the tobiano mare had been right when they had argued on her arrival here. Better late than never at least. Still, their freedom wasn’t granted yet.
Her ears picked up on the arrival of another, she had expected the idiot but found the occupant to be… somewhat worse.
Khyber. She had never personally had any dealings with the overo stallion, however she knew of him. Second to the boss of the Lagoon she’d heard mixed messages from the captives, depending who you spoke to.
Stretching her neck she pointedly ignored him, except for her eyes that had slide over his form and even now she kept him within her vision even though she wasn’t actively looking at him.

She realised her error the moment he spoke. He was expecting a frightened little thing that would crumble under his gaze. She did not know how to play that part. It had never occurred to her she would need to act like that. A error on her part but she couldn’t do much about it now.
She clamped her jaw shut when he spoke of her being a scaredy cat the sarcastic retort on the tip of her tongue, but she had already decided to ignore him, speaking now wouldn’t help her cause, in fact her smart mouth, as others use to call her, may even make matters worse.

She couldn’t help how her eyes slide back to his when he mentioned her wanting to leave the lagoon. Moving her head in a fake glancing around before returning to it previous position, her eyes once more slid to his though this time she couldn’t help the a you being serious? look that was in them. Her jaw starting to ache by how hard she was clenching it to keep her responses from escaping.
