The squad issue has been explained well by the last several posters. I’ll add though, the lack of interest in the Squad goes beyond the diving cert. The mentality of this job has drastically changed in 10 years. “Learning the job,” has taken a back seat to “making the job work for me.” Guys are more concerned with avoiding EMS calls than firefighting. Look at the transfer order when it comes out next month. And you’ll see the movement and where it’s heading Replies:
