Tefnut
And the gasoline of my soul will come alive.
Moving through the Commons, a red dun mare blinked her blue eyes. Strands of thick mane fell past her shoulder, tracing the curve of muscle. Her steady pace made the strands sway, causing the light of day to reflect and bounce off of the few flowers she had allowed her sister to twist into her mane. It was an odd thing considering Tefnut was not a girly girl, but she allowed it as she spent time bonding with and listening to her sister who had returned from the Inlet.
As she moved over the Commons, Tefnut noticed something on the ground that had her hooves slowing their forward momentum. With unease coating her body and her skin prickling, Tefnut was about to turn away from the dark shadows that rolled across the ground when the world began to darken. Pinning her ears, Tefnut faced towards the sky to try and figure out what was going on. It was not the easiest thing to do, but once her eyes landed upon the sky and the eclipse, she found herself almost unable to lower her gaze from the gorgeous sight up above.
Shaking her head and forcing herself to face her reality, Tefnut let the darkness of this event shackle her hooves to the ground. Hearing hooves in the distance, Tefnut forced herself to stand stronger even though she did not realize just yet what she had done to herself. “Who is out there?” She called, figuring the darkness that was around her was still from the eclipse, not the fact she had damaged one eye staring at it. She was not fully blind, but now Tefnut had one eye that was not as good as it had been.
