Rebel had begun to realise that perhaps his question had been a little too forward, especially when her snarky response came. He dropped his head slightly, he wasn’t great and thinking before speaking and he may have just put his foot in it, hopefully she was the forgiving sort. He relaxed at her apology though no apology needed, I have a habit of speaking without thinking first, so I’m sorry if the question offended you he said. He wondered if she was homeless, was that why she was here in the meadow?
His eyes scanned her body a little more, noticing the visible ribs and hip bones. She was underweight and clearly starving and her earlier comment had indicated that there wasn’t much to eat where she came from. He wonder if she was tied to her home, or if he could convince her to come to the Harbour with him, where there was plenty of grazing.
He listened as she introduced herself Magika. He smiled and gave her a nod I’m Rebel, its nice to meet you Magika he said, really meaning it. He wanted a friend, so far he hadn’t really made any his age, his uncle was great fun but he was ancient in the two year old’s eyes.
Shifting slightly, he considered how to ask the next question in a way that wouldn’t sound offensive… or creepy do you live here in the Meadow? You could always come back to my home, The Harbour on Atlantis he paused, he really didn’t want to scare her off or offend her, especially if he was this close to having a friend I mean if you want to, you wouldn’t have to stay if you didn’t like it but there is plenty of grass so you wouldn’t be hungry although his voice was still that friendly tone, there was a slight quiver of uncertainty to it as his eyes kept flicking away from hers only to return a few moments later, ultimately showing his nervousness.
