Boss's Decree

For every brother you bring into the Lagoon, you may have a trinket of your own. I will not touch, barter, trade, or do anything with them. For every foal you create that lives here in the lagoon, you must win a battle or bring in a new brother.

If neither of these criteria are met, come them turning two and remaining in the lagoon, they are mine to do with as I see fit.

The Offspring

Briseis (Carthage x Clio)
Flynnrir (Garmr x Druna)
Gersemi (Garmr x Dior)
Gothic (Garmr x Dior)
Phaethon (Acid x Sabah)
Sadie (Abraxas x Mercy)

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

I wasn’t always a monster.

Rutger
Not until life chose my path.

Listening with his attention fully at Khyber’s feet, Rutger didn't move a muscle. His mind slowly chewed over what he could say, but he didn't speak any of it until after Khyber was officially finished speaking. One could say Rutger was stupid and selfish, but the greying male didn't exactly see it that way. It was different of course for everyone else, but he held himself to a small set of standards.

“Did he know you did that?” Raising a brow, Rutger eyed Khyber. “Was he a brother here when you let that mare go or is he newer than your past actions?” Rutger didn't know how long Wechuge had been here, but you couldn't know everything if you weren't in the bog when it happened. Life went on. New blood joined the ranks. Old blood left. It was a cycle that many seemed to forget.

Humming faintly, Rutger looked away for a moment. “To answer that, my reasoning is incentive.” Facing Khyber again, the son of Tyr tilted his head. “I am not above my own decree. If I act like Abraxas or anyone else and take a mare without a brother or have foals, I must use them in any way that suits the Lagoon.” Rutger was a bastard in that fact. “Say right now I went and claimed a mare or had a foal. If I didn't meet the criteria before the foal was two or have a stallion here at the ready to counter act the obstacle, I'd be using them for leverage.”

Falling silent again, Rutger licked his lips. “And it's fillies more specifically. However, we can't have everyone knowing the loop hole aye?” At that, Rutger fell silent. For every filly born is when he would barter them if they were two and still here. The colts? They would be brothers unless they escaped or were won in battle. It would take a few things that caused the lagoon issues out of the equation.
