Lucifer of the Dunes
And my dice aren't weighted.

“I… I don't know.” Was the stallion's gruff response as he leaned into the touch she gave him. In a world of pain and strife, he found himself leaning into her soft and light. She was the gentle Lucifer could never be, which made her something to cherish. He didn't fully understand, and never would, but the way she made the darkness slowly seep away just by being there made her something to him that rivaled the space Rieva and Mhidas held in his heart.

Listening more, he gave a low sound before closing his eyes and pinning his ears. He hadn't exactly promised Baba Yaga that Ceyx would be safe, but it had been an unspoken rule with the grey mare. “I… I can't ask that of him. Of you… of anyone.” Lucifer didn't know how to ask for help. He was the one Tefnut would call if things went south. He was supposed to be the strong one, the father figure. It all left a bitter taste on the back of his tongue, but it was what he had chosen. He wouldn't change any of it, but sometimes he wished the world would just silence for a while and let him be free.

“It is though.” Raising his head slightly and opening his eyes, the black demon looked at Teagan with a worried but honest expression. “No one fears a horse that has to ask for help.” He didn't realize just how wrong his words could be, but they were what he knew. “If I'm not strong on my own, you and the others are in danger. I could lose you again.” Shaking his head slightly, Lucifer sucked in a breath.

“I don't want to lose you again Teagan. You… I…” His voice broke for a moment. “I think I care for you in a way I don't know how to express and I can't face losing you.”
