The fact that this female was so relaxed reassured the silver-tressed stallion. Technically, yes, at the moment he was a trespasser, but Canis hoped that enough of the Bay's alpine scent remained on his pelt for her to understand that this had been his home up until recently. Perhaps if he had not gone looking for his younger sister, things would not be as they are now.
A polite dip of his head is how he greets her. White-silver strands of forelock brushed against his cheek, swaying with gravity's pull as he did so. She called herself Aadrika: a strong name he found to be quite pretty. The red mare seems willing to help him, though Canis wonders if she really can. There is no way of knowing if she and the other mare have brought a third to rule with or beneath them unless he asks.
"Hello, Aadrika," he says with a friendly expression. "My name is Canis." His father was dead and gone. Mother as homeless as he was. Siblings scattered to the wind. He was what remained of them, steadfast as the moon. "Up until recently," --he neglects to point out that it is because of her coming; that would be rude-- "my family and I lived here in the Bay. My hope is that you will grant me a position and give us your blessing to return."
