Embrace my darkness;

Lucifer
For its my game you find yourself in.

Seasons were changing once more. The heat of summer was vanishing and in its wake came the chill of fall. It was not quite as cold as it would become in the winter, but it was enough to have a black beast pinching his eyes tight as his face contorted into one of pain. His back leg popped, the tendon aching in the cooler weather. His front shoulder tried to give with the pressure of his frame, but he kept it moving. It was not easy, but nowhere else on the islands other than Atlantis would be temperate enough to keep most of the pain at bay. If he were lucky, maybe one day he could return to that island and find some peace in his body instead of constant pain.

Shaking his head and forcing his hooves to move, the onyx stallion licked his dark lips before shifting his forward direction towards the left. He had to crest a dune to get where he wanted to be, but that was alright for the time being. He just had to keep moving, even if he wanted to just lay down somewhere that the sun could reach him and embrace it. He had spent enough time forcing himself through the pain he figured… but for reasons unknown, the stallion never quit even if it was honestly the best option.

Cresting the dune and finally seeing over his home towards that of the Hills, Lucifer stilled. His ears twisted upon his head, listening to whatever it was he could faintly pick up. Turning his head as a gust of wind slams into him, the black beast feels the tug of his long mane and tail as it trails against the wind out towards his side. Squinting his eyes and forcing himself to shove the tug away, he searched the distance for whatever was coming his way.
