I used to drink a 90-proof bourbon called Rebel Yell, until they dropped it back to 80 proof. The 80 proof was a waste, so I gave up on that.

I was getting bad, toward the end. I would pour two fingers of Seagram's Gin into a beer mug and fill it the rest of the way with Budweiser. Two of those would put me under the table.

I knew I was headed for ruin, so I quit drinking and went to the Marijuana Maintenance Program. I only smoked pot and eased out of that after a few years.

Finally, I totally sobered up. If I hadn't, I probably wouldn't be able to find my house any more...
