The constant us vs them bull#### is old and embarrassing. A lot of the attitude on that board is just stale old guy thinking where people act like looking down on medics, single role people, or anybody on a slow company makes them tougher or more important. It does not. It makes them sound insecure and bitter.
We are all working for the same department, dealing with the same city, the same staffing problems, the same nonsense, and the same pressure. So ripping each other apart over job title, patch, or call volume is stupid. All it does is keep people divided while the city keeps tightening the screws on everyone.
And the constant judging and chest beating is played out. Nobody cares who thinks they are more real because they run more calls or work on some busier company. That stuff is just ego. It does nothing to make the department better and it sure does not help the people doing the job.
A lot of the old school mentality people worship is not wisdom, it is just arrogance dressed up as tradition. Talking down to other members, acting superior, and treating everything like a contest is not pride in the job. It is part of the reason people are so divided in the first place. And since everyone is so divided its really impossible to make anything better becaaue every chat turns into a dick measuring contest. Smart people dont want to play that game, so they sit out. All that is left are the retards fighting amongst themselves while everyone else is checked out.
