Lucifer
And enter the game he creates.
To answer the unspoken question, Lucifer spoke his name like it meant something because of the tales most learned as foals of the devil. Well, it wasn't most anymore. When a devil actually lived and breathed, many spoke of the creature instead of the stories. With Garmr and many others from the Lagoon alive, the horses here on the islands didn't need the tales of old to handle the truth. With Lucifer himself on Salem with wrong doings following his every step… they really did not need the tales.
Let alone, he never had to fear someone rising above him in his own territory for the simple fact was, he did not lose lightly. Lucifer had lost enough battles to know he was not immune to the taste of defeat. He could handle it, and as of right now, he had an understanding with those that lived in his home. Praetorian was a silent sub-lead. Ceyx was supposed to be learning to gain the king slot when he was older, and Anpu was just there. He still did not fully understand what the black arabian had in mind, but he was not about to question it either.
Blinking slowly, Lucifer looked them both over and remained silent for a while. He could speak, answer the unspoken question out loud. He could do many things, but right now he let it be as it was. His bright eyes were holding some form of smarts in them, even if the bloodlust was riding him harder than anything else in his life. He was struggling, but unless one of them put their ear to his chest, they would never know the racing of his heart. It forced him to swallow, holding back what he really wanted to say.
When the mare spoke and finally gave her name, Lucifer dipped his head. “Well met, Jester and Rook.” His voice was deep before he nodded again. “Regain your strength. I can stand and stay watchful so you rest easy.” Lucifer never did this for anyone but his mares who had just given birth. He hated being idle, but right now it was the best thing he could do at the moment. Shifting his weight with that knowledge, the black beast looked out over the Commons. “If you're willing, it would be safer to head to another section of the island while you regain strength.” That, and no one could block his claim if he got them to move towards the Falls or Meadow.
